INTER - UNIT CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

The Inter Unit Cricket Men’s and Women’s Championships 2024 concluded yesterday (24 June 24) at SLAF Base Katunayake. The Director General Health Services, Air Vice Marshal Lalith Jayaweera, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

SLAF Station Colombo secured the Men’s Championship while SLAF Base Katunayake claimed the Women’s Championship. In Men’s finals, SLAF Base Ratmalane scored 63/10 in 15.2 overs. In reply, SLAF Station Colombo was bowled and won by 4 wickets in 16.3 overs. In the Women’s finals, SLAF Base Katunayake scored 92/3 in 05 overs in reply to SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, scored only 76/2 in 05 overs.

The Chairman SLAF Cricket, Air Vice Marshal Chaminda Wickramarathne ,Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Vice Marshal Deshapriya Silva, Director Sports, Air Commodore WASB Weerasekara, Members of the Air Force Sports Council, officers and other ranks attended to witness the event.
