The Inter Unit Carrom Championship – 2024 was held at SLAF Health Management Centre Colombo yesterday (09 July 2024). The awarding ceremony took place at the same venue with the graceful presence by Director General Air Operations of SLAF, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera as the Chief Guest.

The tournament conducted into two segments and 11 women's teams and 13 men’s teams competed at the Championship. SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte titled as both Men’s and Women’s Champions for the year 2024 whilst Technical Formation team of SLAF Base Katunayake and SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport turned into Runners-Up for Men’s and Women’s categories respectively.

Flight Sergant Madurawe PB and Sgt Jeewani RP representing SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura were awarded as the Best Players in the Men’s and Women’s categories at the tournament.

The event was attended by Director Sports of SLAF and representatives, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, Secretary Air Force Sports Council and members of the Air Force Sports Council, representatives of SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport and Officials of Sri Lanka Carrom Federation.
