SPECIAL PREMARITAL EDUCATING PROGRAMME ORGANIZED BY SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE

A specialized Premarital Counselling Programme was held at SLAF Base Katunayake today (10 July 2024) under the auspices of the Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Vice Marshal Deshapriya Silva and under the supervision of the Commanding Officer Hospital SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore PAV Padmaperuma. The programme was spearheaded by the Clinical Psychologist at NHSL, Mr. Dilantha Deva Adithya and Clinical Psychologist, Wing Commander Premarathna. This initiative aimed to educate couples with essential insights before embarking on the journey of marriage.
Dilantha Deva Adithya, renowned for his extensive experience and expertise in marital counselling, led the programme with a blend of compassion and practical wisdom. His guidance was rooted in understanding the complexities of relationships and the importance of preparing couples for the challenges and joys ahead.
The programme consisted of various aspects crucial to building a strong marital foundation, including effective communication, conflict resolution strategies, financial planning and mutual goal-setting. Through interactive sessions and personalized guidance, couples were encouraged to openly discuss their expectations, fears and aspirations in a supportive environment.
