The Inter Unit Practical Rifle Meet 2024 was conducted from 02 to 05 August 2024 and the Awarding Ceremony took place at the Firing Range SLAF Station Ampara, with the graceful presence of the Director General Administration, Air Vice Marshal Manoaj Keppetipola.

SLAF Base Anuradapura clinched the Championship in the Men’s category, while the SLAF Station Palaly secured the Championship in the Women’s category. SLAF Station Ampara and SLAF Station Palaly claimed the first and second Runner-ups in the Men’s category and SLAF Base Anuradapura and SLAF Station Ampara achieved the first and second Runner-ups in the Women’s category respectively.

Moreover, Corporal Madusanka LBB from SLAF Base Anuradapura, possessed the award for the men’s best all-round shooter in the Championship and Leading Aircraftwoman Jayakody PMDS from SLAF Base Anuradapura was crowned as the best all-round shooter in the women's category. The Best all-round Officer in this Championship was secured by Flight Lieutenant CR Kodithuwakku from SLAF Station Ampara.

The event was attended by Chairman SLAF Shooting, Air Commodore Ruwan Chandima, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Ampara, Group Captain Lalith Sugathdasa, Secretary SLAF Shooting, officers and other rankers.
