
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE DELEGATION CALLS ON THE SLAF COMMANDER

The Commander of the Joint Agency Task Force, Rear Admiral Bret Sonter, along with a defence delegation, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, at Air Force Headquarters today (14 August 2024).
The discussions centered on the ongoing Indo-Pacific Endeavour (IPE) 2024, a comprehensive programme focused on enhancing Maritime Domain Awareness, with the objective of strengthening defence relations between the two nations. The delegation included Commander IPE, Commodore Michael Harris, Ms. Kirrily Smith, Lieutenant Commander Ian Fisher and Inspector Edwards and was accompanied by the Australian Defence Advisor, Colonel Amanda Johnston.
Following the cordial discussions, the Commander of the Air Force and the visiting dignitaries exchanged mementos to commemorate the occasion.
