SLAF PRE-SCHOOL TEACHERS' WORKSHOP AT COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL DIYATALAWA

A three-day workshop for SLAF Pre-School Teachers, including Teaching Skills, Outbound Training, Leadership and Talent Show, took place at SLAF Combat Training School (CTS) Diyatalawa from 12 to 14 August 2024. The workshop was conducted under the supervision of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa and the Director General of Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Suresh Fernando.

The workshop was conducted by the Technical Advisor, Dr. Thushari Koralage, Ms. Vihani Tennakoon, Wing Commander Chanaka Maligaspe and the Instructors at Combat Training School Diyathalawa. All SLAF preschool teachers participated in the event, which featured lectures on advanced Instructional Techniques, Discussions, Demonstrations, Classroom Management, Leadership, Motivation, Teaching Disciplines and Outbound Training.
 
During the workshop and outbound training, teachers were given the opportunity to undergo military leadership, motivation, discipline, team building activities and educational skills. The workshop demonstrated how teachers can integrate activities and group work into their classroom teaching for more effective learning outcomes.

Teachers exhibited enthusiasm for learning the latest teaching techniques to improve their skills and talents. The Director Internal and Public Welfare, Air Commodore Sulochana Marapperuma and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Combat Training School Diyathalawa, Air Commodore Humal Dharmadasa, graced the certificate award ceremony.
