COMMANDER’S INSPECTION OF SLAF STATION KOGGALA

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, conducted the Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Station Koggala today (29 August 2024). The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala, Group Captain Jagath Godakanda.

During the course of inspection, the Commander visited all the areas of the Station and highlighted the vital role this Station has played in supporting holiday homes and tourism-related events, such as the Catalina Monthly Medal Golf Tournament and Eagles’ Skydive Adventure Club during his address. Additionally, he outlined his vision for advancing the SLAF's technological capabilities to improve the operational effectiveness and proficiency of  service members.

Finally, the Commander commended the Commanding Officer and his team for their hard work in preparing the Station to the standard expected at a Commander’s Inspection.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
