NO. 01 SUPPLY AND MAINTENANCE DEPOT CELEBRATES 73RD ANNIVERSARY

The No. 01 Supply and Maintenance Depot at SLAF Base Katunayake has celebrated its 73rd anniversary on 04 September 2024. The Formation Day celebration commenced with the customary working parade. The Commanding Officer, Group Captain NP Meragalage, addressed all officers, airmen and airwomen and civil staff of the depot.
In line with the anniversary celebration, a ‘Dharma’ sermon programme was held at the Depot Receipt and Dispatch hanger in the morning with the presence of Base Commander, Air Vice Marshal Deshapriya Silva.
Further, a charity programme was conducted at “Lakshmi” Children Home at Averiyawatta with the guidance of Commanding Officer and the contribution of all members of No. 01 Supply and Maintenance Depot. Furthermore, the staff gifted sports equipment and other essentials, followed by an offer of lunch for the children.
