House-warming ceremonies of 02 houses constructed under full house construction projects were conducted today (07 September 2024) with the graceful participation of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.

One house was handed over to Corporal Thilakarathne TN (Disabled) – (Operations Ground), with the house-warming ceremony taking place in Koongollewa, Medawachchiya. The second house was presented to Corporal Karunathne WPLN – (Operations Ground), with the house-warming ceremony held in Gamunupura, Padavi Sri Pura.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Chandana Geethapriya and supervised by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Air Commodore Amitha Jayamaha.

The event was attended by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Senior members of the Air Force Seva Vanitha Seva Vanitha Unit, representatives of the Directorate of Welfare, staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Base Vavuniya.
