PACIFIC AIR FORCE DELEGATION CALLS ON THE SLAF COMMANDER

The Director Strategy, Plans, Programmes and Requirements in Pacific Air Force, Brigadier General Brian S. Laidlaw, along with a defence delegation, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, at Air Force Headquarters today (10 September 2024).

The discussions centered on the 7th Annual Airmen to Airmen Staff Talks, comprehensive strategic discussions focused on enhancing training opportunities and strengthening defence relations between the two Air Forces. The delegation included Deputy Commander, 120th Airlift Wing, Montana Air National Guard, Colonel Maureen Maphies and Country Director – Sri Lanka, PACAF, Captian Balys Gintautas and was accompanied by the Defence Attache US Embassy, Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson.

Following the cordial discussions, the Commander of the Air Force and the visiting dignitaries exchanged mementos to commemorate the occasion.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
