The Inter Unit Rugby Championship - 2024 was held at Rugby Grounds SLAF Base Ratmalana yesterday (11 September 2024). The awarding ceremony took place at the same venue with the graceful presence of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa as the Chief Guest.

SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenapura Rugby Team won the title as Men’s Champions for the year 2024 whilst SLAF Academy China Bay emerged as Runners up.  In the Women’s category,  SLAF Base Katunayake won the Championship and SLAF Base Ratmalana emerged as Runners up.

Further, during the event, Sanasa General Insurance  PLC and Sanasa Life Insurance PLC were felicitated for their tremendous support towards the SLAF Rugby team as the Main Sponsor.

The event was attended by Chief of Staff, members of the Air Force Board of Management, Chairman SLAF Rugby, members of the Air Force Sports Council and other distinguished invitees.
