COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL DIYATALAWA

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa today (16 September 2024).

The Commander reviewed the Commander’s Inspection Parade, commanded by the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore HTH Dharmadasa. Further, the Certificates of Commendation was awarded to  Flight Sergeant Priyantha RDN (Operations Ground I) in recognition of his meritorious contributions to the School in particular and to the Air Force in general.

During the course of the inspection, Commander conducted a special address to the instructors and trainees and emphasized the significance of their respective roles towards the service excellence.

Further, the Commander stressed the requirement to be concerned over high standards in conducting training in line with Air Force training objectives and the necessity to upgrade and structure the Training Wing to a higher level as well.

Furthermore, the Commander addressed all ranks of the School after the inspection. During his address, Commander mentioned the historical value of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa and to preserve them for the betterment of the future Air Force and expressed his profound gratitude to all personnel and acknowledged their unwavering and tireless efforts in maintaining the school at exceptionally high standards.
