INDIAN ARMED FORCES DELEGATION VISITS SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE AS PART OF CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

A delegation from the Indian Armed Forces, consisting of 120 personnel including officers and other ranks, visited Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake today (02 October 2024) as part of a reciprocal cultural exchange programme. This visit follows a similar cultural exchange where 120 Sri Lankan tri-service personnel traveled to India.
 
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Sri Lanka Air Force with a captivating traditional dance performance by the SLAF Dance Troupe. The Acting Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardana, along with the Director of Ranaviru Welfare, Air Commodore Buddhika Piyasiri, and representatives from the Sri Lanka Army and Navy, were present to greet the delegation.
