COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF TRADE TRAINING SCHOOL EKALA

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, concluded the Commander’s Inspection at the Sri Lanka Air Force Trade Training School, Ekala, today (03 October 2024).

The Commander reviewed the Commander's Inspection Parade, which was commanded by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, who is also currently serving as the Director of Trade Training of SLAF, Air Commodore Uditha Piyasena. During the parade, the Certificate of Commendation was awarded to the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Flight Sergeant Pravinda W.L. (Catering Assistant) in recognition of his outstanding performance and contribution made to the Sri Lanka Air Force in general.

The Commander visited all areas of the Trade Training School, including lodger formations at the School. Following the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks, including trainees and civilians. In his address, he emphasized the pivotal role accomplished by Trade Training School Ekala, in moulding professionally competent tradesmen  for the future of SLAF whilst mentioning the historical context of the station. The Commander commended the Commanding Officer and his team, acknowledging their dedicated effort in preparing the School to meet the standards required by the Air Force.
