A special monetary donation was made today, 15 October 2024, for the 'Husma Plan' of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit by the Acting Commandant of SLAF Academy China Bay, Group Captain Asela Kuruwita. The donation was symbolically received by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa.

The donation, amounting to Rs. Two Million, was generated from the profits earned during the 'AERO BASH 2024' Educational, Technical, and Trade Exhibition, organized by SLAF Academy China Bay in August 2024. These funds are designated to support the ongoing 'Suraksha Care Home' project, which aims to provide care for retiring service personnel of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
