SLAF COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL DIYATALAWA CELEBRATES 72ND ANNIVERSARY

SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa celebrated its 72nd anniversary today (15 October 2024). The anniversary celebration commenced with the customary working parade under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Air Commodore HTH Dharmadasa. The parade was reviewed by the Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander Kanishka Jayasekara.
Further, in line with the anniversary celebrations, ‘Sharamadana’ campaigns at ‘EAGLES’ children’s park Diyatalawa, Bus Stand located at the Survey Junction, General Hospital Diyatalawa, Ellegama Temple and Kahagolla ‘Aranayaya’ were conducted. Moreover, a tree planting programme was conducted with the proper directives extended by the Commanding Officer to help enrich the environment of this renowned training establishment. In addition, a sumptuous lunch was given to the children who are accommodated at 'Sri Sudarshi' School for the Deaf and Blind, Dowa. Also, ration packs were distributed to Ambegoda Orphanage with the voluntary contribution from all ranks of the school.
On the formation day, a series of sports events were organized to build harmony among the servicemen with the participation of all officers and other rankers of station.
