SLAF STATION KOGGALA CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY

SLAF Station Koggala marked its 40th Anniversary today (19 October 2024). To honour this milestone, the station engaged in Shramadhana campaigns at the Sri Gunadarshanaramaya Temple and Martin Wickramasinghe Primary School in Habaraduwa.

In line with its commitment to environmental conservation, a tree-planting program was also organized under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Priyadarshana Hettiarachchi. Station personnel planted trees along the beachfront at the Sea Front Holiday Homes area, with the aim of mitigating coastal erosion. To culminate the celebrations, an all-ranks luncheon was held, gathering officers, other rankers and civilian staff of SLAF Station Koggala.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
