Under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa and with the supervision of Director General Health Services, Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Lalith Jayaweera, the annual Medical and Dental clinic at Sri Dalada Maligawa was conducted at Sri Dalada Maligawa premises yesterday (21 October 2024). This annual event, which was organized for the 06th time, was conducted for the Maha Sangha of Malwathu and Asgiri chapters, the student monks who are studying in piriwen and staff members of Sri Dalada Maligawa.

Nine Medical Consultants in the fields of Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Radiology, Surgery, Obstetrician and Gynecology and Orthodontics provided their service together with eight Medical officers, eight Dental Surgeons, clinical Psychologist, Physiotherapist and more than 100 Medical and Dental staff. More than seven hundred Buddhist monks and civilians were provided free Medical and Dental care, which included providing medicine free of charge, Laboratory facilities, Electrocardiography (ECG), Ultra sound scanning, Physiotherapy and preventive health advice.
