POPPY FLOWER PINNED ON THE COMMANDER

In Commemoration of Remembrance Day 2024, the President of Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s Association, Lieutenant Colonel Ajith Siyambalapitiya (Retd) pinned the poppy flower on Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa at Air Force Headquarters today (22 November 2024).

The income earned by selling Poppy Flowers will be used for the welfare of retired and disabled war veterans.

The Vice President Poppy Committee, Major General Mahinda Mudalige (Retd), representative of Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Hemantha Soyza (Retd) and Members of the Committee were also present at the event.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
