The Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha visited Jaffna area today (28 November 2024), leading ground-level disaster relief efforts with a focus on ensuring swift and effective responses to the ongoing challenges in the region.

During the visit, the Secretary provided strategic guidance and constant directives to the relevant authorities to streamline the disaster relief mechanism and optimize resource deployment.
