The Change of Command of SLAF Station Iranamadu was held today (19 December 2024) at the station premises. The Handing Over / Taking Over parade was conducted at the Station Parade Square, where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain DGPL Jayathilaka MSc (Def & Strat. Stu), BA (Def Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), Pg Dip (HRM), psc, handed over the command to Group Captain DSS Seneviratne USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain DGPL Jayathilaka, will take over duties as Commanding Officer of SLAF Disaster Management Training School Digana. The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain DSS Seneviratne, previously held the appointment of Officer Commanding of SLAF Detachment Baththaramulla before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Iranamadu.
