The Change of Command of SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport Katunayake was held yesterday (23 December 2024). The traditional Handing Over/Taking Over parade took place at the Station Parade Square, where the outgoing Commanding Officer Air Commodore GSN Priyadarshana RSP and Bar, USP, Justice of Peace handed over the command to Group Captain NP Perera RWP.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore GSN Priyadarshana , will take over duties as Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palavi. The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain NP Perera RWP, held the appointment of Commanding Officer of CBRNE Wing before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station BIA.
