The Change of Command at No 02 Supply & Maintenance Depot (S&MD) SLAF Base Hingurakgoda was held yesterday (27 December 2024). The traditional handing-over taking-over parade was conducted at the Depot parade square, where the outgoing Commanding Officer Group Captain MMA Mendis usp handed over the Command to Group Captain NMPN Nawarathna.

The outgoing Commanding Officer is set to assume the role of Commanding Officer of the Equipment Provisioning and Accounting Unit at SLAF Base Katunayake. The incoming Commanding Officer previously held the position of Staff Officer Logistics Personnel and Planning III at the Directorate of Logistics .
