The Change of Command at Equipment Provisioning & Accounting Unit SLAF Base Katunayake, was held yesterday (30 December 2024). The traditional handing over /taking over parade was conducted at the Unit parade square, where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain RML Randeniya USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MBA, MBA (Log Mgt), BA (Def Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc handed over the Command to Group Captain MMA Mendis USP.

The outgoing Commanding officer is set to assume the role of Commanding Officer of Aircraft Spares Depot SLAF Base Katunayake. The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain MMA Mendis previously held the appointment of Commanding Officer at No. 02 Supply & Maintenance Depot - SLAF Base Hingurakgoda.
