EP&AU SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE CELEBRATES 14TH ANNIVERSARY
Equipment Provisioning and Accounting Unit (EP&AU) SLAF Base Katunayake celebrated its 14th Anniversary today (01 January 2025) under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain MMA Mendis.
The Unit was established on 01st January 2011 as an independent formation under the command of Wing Commander KR Eramudugolla. Since then, 15 Commanding Officers have commanded the unit up to date.
In line with the 14th Anniversary of this Unit, a customary working parade was conducted today (01 January 2025) at the Unit Parade Ground, which was reviewed by Commanding Officer, Group Captain MMA Mendis and followed by an address to the officers, other rankers and civil staff where he extended his gratitude to all members of the unit for the contribution made to maintain the prevailing success of the unit. He recalled all who have contributed to the success of the unit with deep gratitude.
Following the parade, a tree-planting programme was conducted at the Unit Premises.
