SLAF STATION PALALY CELEBRATES 44TH ANNIVERSARY

SLAF Station Palaly celebrated its 44th anniversary today (01 January 2025) with a series of significant events. Ahead of the main celebration, a free Medical and Dental Campaign was held on 28th December 2024 at the Government Tamil Mixed School, Palaly. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) Thellipalai, aimed to support community welfare in the area.
The day’s proceedings commenced with the customary working parade, reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain WMA Kumarasiri. Addressing the gathering, the Commanding Officer expressed his appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the station’s personnel in maintaining high standards.
The celebrations also included a religious ceremony to honour fallen heroes and bless serving personnel. An all-ranks breakfast and lunch further strengthened camaraderie among the station’s members. Additionally, a tree-planting ceremony and a cricket tournament were held, adding to the significance of the occasion.
