GRAND PRIZE WINNERS OF 'SURAKSHA' RAFFLE DRAW RECEIVE CHEQUES FROM THE COMMANDER

The grand prize winners of the recently concluded raffle draw for the ‘Suraksha’ Air Force Care Home Project, received their cheques today (08 January 2025) at Air Force Headquarters from the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, in a special ceremony. The occasion was attended by the Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Thushara Sirimanne and other senior officers.
The raffle draw was conducted as part of the fundraising efforts to establish a specialized care facility dedicated to providing retired Air Force personnel with the support and comfort they deserve in recognition of their service to the nation.
The three main prize winners included Leading Aircraftman Wijesinghe WMMUK from SLAF Station Weerawila, who received Rs. 1 Million, Group Captain HMLS Lankathilaka from SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, who received Rs. 750,000 and Corporal Samaraweera MC from SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, who received Rs. 500,000. The Commander of the Air Force personally handed over the cheques to the winners.
