SLAF UNVEILS COMMANDER’S CUP GOLF TOURNAMENT 2025 AND ANNUAL SPORTS CALENDAR AT PRESS BRIEFING

The press briefing for the Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament – 2025 took place today, (09 January 2025), at the Air Force Headquarters in the Defence Headquarters Complex.
The Eagles’ Golf Links of the Sri Lanka Air Force is all set to host the Commander’s Cup – 2025, an annual golf tournament for men and women, on 17 and 18 January 2025 at the scenic China Bay, near the historic Harbour City of Trincomalee. This prestigious tournament, now in its 12th consecutive edition, is powered by Dialog Enterprise for the fifth successive year as the exclusive main sponsor.
A highlight of the event was the ceremonial unveiling of the Commander’s Cup Golf Trophy by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa and the Group Chief Officer of Dialog Enterprises, Mr. Navin Peiris. Alongside this, a key focus was the much-anticipated presentation of the Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Calendar for 2025, conducted by the Director Media and Secretary Air Force Sports Council, Group Captain Eranda Geeganage. The detailed briefing provided insights into the diverse array of sporting events lined up for this year.
At the end of the press briefing, the symbolic sponsorship cheque was presented to the Commander by Mr. Navin Peiris, the Group Chief Officer of Dialog Enterprises.
