GROUND TRAINING WING AT SLAF ACADEMY CHINA BAY CELEBRATES 32ND ANNIVERSARY

Ground Training Wing at SLAF Academy China Bay proudly celebrated its 32nd anniversary yesterday (13 January 2025). This Training Wing was initially established as the Combat Training School on 13 January 1993 and subsequently changed its name as Ground Training Wing on 15 July 2013.
The Ground Training Wing has been commanded by 29 Commanding Officers so far and presently commanded by Group Captain RND Senadheera. At present this wing is conducting Officer Cadets Training, Recruit Training, Operations Air Advanced Training and Provost Trade Training.
The customary anniversary parade was held with the participation of all officers, instructors and trainees.
In parallel to the formation day, this wing had organized a community service project by conducting a ‘Shramadana campaign’ at Marbel Beach China bay on 12 January 2025 with the participation of all members at the Ground Training Wing.
