The Change of Command in Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management School SLAF Academy China Bay took place yesterday (20 January 2025). The outgoing Commanding Officer, Wing Commander GDDPK Hathurusinghe USP, Msc (Def & Start Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), MIM (SL), AMITD (SL), psc, Justice of Peace did hand over the Command to Wing Commander HKA De Alwis  MBA, Msc (Def & Start Stu), MIM (SL), AMITD (SL), psc.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Wing Commander GDDPK Hathurusinghe will subsequently take over the duties as the Commanding Officer of Air Dog Unit, SLAF Base Katunayake.

The new Commanding Officer, Wing Commander HKA De Alwis, held the appointment as Officer Commanding Operations at No 28 Regt Wing SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura before appointed as the Commanding Officer at Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management School SLAF Academy China Bay.
