The Sri Lanka Air Force team displayed exceptional skill and teamwork at the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Beach Volleyball Championship, which concluded yesterday (26 January 2025) at Browns Beach, Negombo. Leading Aircraftman Senarathne RPDC and Leading Aircraftman Silva WMD earned the Silver Medal, displaying remarkable coordination and resilience throughout the tournament.

A total of 18 teams participated in the championship, with an equal number in both the men’s and women’s divisions. In the men’s event, Sri Lanka fielded three teams, while Kazakhstan and the Maldives sent two teams each and Iran and Bhutan were each represented by one team. Despite their commendable efforts, the Sri Lanka Air Force team fell short in the final, losing 0-2 (13-21, 13-21) to a strong Iranian team.
