Recruits Pass Out In Ampara

A total of 208 recruits from the 148th ‘B’ Regular Course of Airmen passed out on 10th June 2011at SLAF station Ampara after completing 17 weeks of challenging training.

The training focused on drill, weapon training, tactics, fieldcraft, map reading, fire fighting, explosive handling, Humanitarian Law, Air Force Law and Combat First Aid.

The Parade was commanded by Squadron Leader WKASW Withana whilst the Parade Adjutant was Pilot Officer KA Rajaguru.

Director Air Operation Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinhala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Station Ampara, Wing Commander KH Ekanayaka were also present on the occasion.
