RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE MEMBERS VISIT AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS

A delegation from the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College, currently undertaking an international study tour in Sri Lanka, visited the SLAF Headquarters today (11 February 2025).

During the visit, the head of the delegation, Colonel Lausanne Nsengimana Ingabire, accompanied by a group of senior officers, called on the Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Chaminda Wickremaratne, in the absence of the Commander of the Air Force. The visiting delegation comprised 15 student officers and four Directing Staff members from the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College.

Discussions between the Deputy Chief of Staff and the delegation primarily focused on various aspects of training. The meeting concluded with the exchange of mementoes.

Following the meeting, Wing Commander Rajeev Jayawickrama delivered a presentation on the ‘Role and Tasks of the Sri Lanka Air Force’. The session was further enriched by an interactive discussion, where the delegation engaged in a question-and-answer session with the Director Generals and Directors from SLAF Directorates who were in attendance.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
