The change of command of Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa was held today (14 February 2025).The Traditional Handing Over and Taking Over Parade was conducted at the School premises where the outgoing Commanding Officer Air Commodore HTH Dharmadasa RWP, RSP, USP, MSc (NS&SS), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), ndc handed over the command to Air Commodore DMR Dassanayake USP, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt. Air Commodore HTH Dharmadasa will proceed to Air Force Headquarters, where he will assume  duties as Independent Supervising Officer for special project at Directorate of Planning.

The new Commanding Officer, Air Commodore DMR Dassanayake assumed office after the completion of the traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade.  Air Commodore DMR Dassanayake previously held the appointment of  Director Force Protection of Directorate of Ground Operations before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa.
