
COMMANDER RECEIVES MULTI-RELIGIOUS BLESSINGS

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, visited several religious sites today (16 February 2025) to seek blessings for his new appointment and the responsibilities ahead.
As part of his religious observances, the Commander first visited the Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo, where he met with Venerable Kirinde Assaji Thero and received blessings. He then proceeded to the Sri Ponnambalawaneswaran Sivan Temple in Kotahena, where he offered prayers in accordance with Hindu traditions.
Concluding his visits, Air Marshal Edirisinghe paid his respects at the Dewatagaha Mosque, where he was received by the Trustee members. Special prayers were conducted by Iqbal Moulavi for his leadership and the Sri Lanka Air Force.
The occasion was attended by the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, Director Ranaviru Welfare, Air Commodore Buddika Piyasiri and senior representatives of the Air Force.
