SLAF COMMENCES FIRST PHASE OF SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM UNDER ‘CLEAN SRI LANKA’ INITIATIVE

The SLAF has officially commenced the first phase of school development programme under the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ initiative, a national project spearheaded by the government to enhance educational facilities across the country. The inauguration of this initiative was held today (20 February 2025) under the guidance of  the  Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe.

As part of this initiative, the SLAF has undertaken the development of 50 schools in the initial phase, with St. Anthony’s Sinhala Vidyalaya being the first institution to benefit from the programme. The launch event was attended by the Air Force Project Coordinator, Air Vice Marshal Manoaj Kappetipola, along with representatives from SLAF, the Principal of St. Anthony’s Sinhala Vidyalaya and a gathering of teachers and parents.
