AWARDING CEREMONY OF QUALIFICATION INSIGNIA

Four officers from the Logistics Branch and one airwoman from the Logistic Assistance trade were awarded their Loadmaster Badges by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, today (21 February 2025) at Air Force Headquarters.

The recipients successfully completed the required training, including a minimum of 50 flying hours, and passed the final handling test conducted by a qualified flying instructor for the An-32B aircraft and a qualified helicopter instructor for the Mi-17 helicopter, along with the Master Loadmaster.

Notably, for the first time in history, a lady officer and an airwoman have been awarded the prestigious Loadmaster Badge, marking a significant milestone in the Sri Lanka Air Force.
