The First leg of the 26th Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya ended at Rathnapura today (28 February 2025) having covered a distance of 145km. Sri Lanka Navy Cyclist, Suresh Prasanga won the 1st leg of the race while Chamod De Silva from Sri Lanka Police and Sandaruwan Pinto of Sri Lanka Army finished as second and third places respectively.

The second leg of the race will begin tomorrow (01 March 2025) at 0830hrs from Rathnapura. The second leg will cover a distance of 125km and will complete at Kandy.
