NO. 01 ITW AT SLAF BASE RATMALANA CELEBRATES 12TH ANNIVERSARY

The No. 01 Information Technology Wing (No. 01 ITW) at SLAF Base
Ratmalana celebrated its 12th anniversary today (11 March 2025). The celebration began with the customary working parade, which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain API Sampath Kumara.
As part of the event, the Commanding Officer delivered the address to all officers, other ranks and civilian staff, reflecting on the Wing's achievements and future aspirations.
The outstanding service of No. 01 ITW was further honored through a series of community service projects. Personnel from the Wing organized a beach cleanup at the picturesque Mount Lavinia Beach to help preserve the coastal environment.
In addition, a blood donation campaign was held in cooperation with the Kotelawala Defence University Hospital, encouraging individuals to become regular donors to meet community needs. A Bodhi Pooja event was also conducted at the Mallikaramaya Temple in Ratmalana, with the participation from IT Wing personnel.
