The SLAF demonstrated the athletic capabilities at the 49th National Sports Festival Cross-Country Race, held on 16 March 2025 at the Nuwara Eliya.
 
Leading Aircraftman Sivarajan M secured the gold medal in the men's 10 km cross-country race, completing the course in an impressive time of 34 minutes and 21 seconds. Meanwhile, Leading Aircraftwoman Ariyadasa ANL delivered a commendable performance, finishing fifth in the women's division of the same event.

The competition was conducted as part of the 49th National Sports Festival, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
