The Change of Command at No 01 Supply & Maintenance Depot (S&MD) SLAF Base Katunayake was held on 24 March 2025. The traditional Handing-over and Taking over Parade was conducted at the Depot Parade Square, where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore NP Meregalage handed over the command to Group Captain RML Randeniya.

The outgoing Commanding Officer is set to assume the role of Director Logistics Personnel and Planning at Air Force Headquarters. The incoming Commanding Officer presently holding the position as the Commanding Officer Aircraft Spares Deport (ASD) SLAF Base Katunayake will additionally hold the position as the Commanding Officer Supply & Maintenance Depot, SLAF Base Katunayake.
