SLAF ACADEMY CHINA BAY HOSTS IFTAR TO STRENGTHEN UNITY AND RESPECT

An Iftar programme was held yesterday (27 March 2025) at the Airmen’s Mess of the SLAF Academy, China Bay.
 
The event was graced by the presence of the Director General Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Gihan Senavirathna, the Commandant, Air Commodore Amal Perera, Commanding Officers from all formations, a cross-section of officers and Muslim service personnel of the Academy including civilians took part in the event.

Additionally, the invitees included two priests from the Kinniya and Nachchikuda Mosques, the Chairman and Secretary of the Gangathalawa United Media Forum, as well as the President and Deputy President of the Kantale Grand Masjid.

The gathering aimed to promote cultural and religious understanding and strengthen camaraderie among Academy personnel during the holy month of Ramadan.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
