The Change of Command at Equipment Provisioning & Accounting Unit SLAF Base Katunayake, took place yesterday (27 March 2025). The traditional handing over/taking over parade was conducted at the Unit Parade square, where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain MMA Mendis USP handed over the Command to Group Captain ARG Rodrigo USP.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain Mendis took over the command of the Equipment Provisioning & Accounting Unit on 01 January 2025 and he will take over the appointment as the Commanding Officer of Aircraft Spare Depot at SLAF Base Katunayake.

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain Rodrigo previously held the appointment of Staff Officer Procurement Monitoring in Procurement Division at Air Force Headquarters  before being appointed as the Commanding Officer.
