The SLAF Women’s Handball Team emerged victorious at the National Handball Championship 2025, held from 03 to 06 April at the Army Cantonment in Panagoda. The tournament featured top-tier teams from across the nation, showcasing a high level of competition and sportsmanship. Demonstrating remarkable skill, cohesion, and determination throughout the tournament, the SLAF Women’s Team stood out as a formidable force.

The final match took place yesterday (06 April 2025) at the same venue, where the SLAF Women’s Team secured the championship title following a rigorous and hard-fought battle against the Sri Lanka Army Team. The championship was conducted in accordance with the official regulations of the Sri Lanka Handball Federation.

The awards ceremony was held following the final match and was graced by the presence of the President of the Sri Lanka Handball Federation, Mr. Upali Rajapakse, as the Chief Guest. Also in attendance were the Secretary General of the Sri Lanka Handball Federation, Mr. Chinthaka Mayadunne, the Chairman of Air Force Handball, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena and other distinguished guests and dignitaries.
