The SLAF Agro Unit conducted a one-day Beekeeping awareness programme yesterday (21 April 2025) at the SLAF Agro Unit Training Cell. The event was held under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the Agro Unit, Group Captain Daminda Samarathunga, with the aim of educating and encouraging SLAF service personnel in the field of beekeeping.

Lectures were delivered by the Officer in Charge of SLAF Beekeeping, Wing Commander Prassna Rupasinghe, with the support of a qualified team of airmen. The programme highlighted the importance of bees and beekeeping for the preservation of biodiversity. Both theoretical and practical sessions were conducted, providing participants with valuable insights and hands-on experience in beekeeping.
