The Bank of Ceylon (BOC) signed an agreement today (23 April 2025) at Air Force Headquarters to establish a new branch within the Defence Services Headquarters Complex in Akuregoda, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte. The agreement was signed by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe and the Assistant General Manager (Western Province South), Mr. Asanka Benthara Vithanage. This strategic move aims to provide enhanced banking services to military personnel and civilians working in the area.

The new branch offers a comprehensive range of banking services, including savings and current accounts, personal and housing loans, and digital banking solutions. This initiative is designed to meet the unique financial needs of military personnel, offering them convenient access to essential banking services within their workplace.

In addition to serving military personnel, the branch is also open to civilians working within the Defence Headquarters Complex. This inclusive approach ensures that all individuals in the area have access to BOC's banking services, promoting financial inclusion and convenience.
