
SLAF CONDUCTS ANTI-DOPING AWARENESS WORKSHOP TO PROMOTE CLEAN AND ETHICAL SPORTS CULTURE

The Air Force Sports Council, in collaboration with the Sports and Exercise Medicine Unit at the Hospital, SLAF Base Katunayake, organized and conducted an Anti-Doping Awareness Workshop for SLAF sports personnel, coaches, and masseurs. The programme was held yesterday (05 May 2025) at the SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala.
The workshop was conducted by the Director General of the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency, Dr. Shiromi Pilapitiya and the Assistant Director of the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency, Mr. Chamath Srinika, both representing the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. They emphasized the importance of fostering a doping-free sports environment.
Additionally, Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine, Group Captain (Dr.) Sherika Samarasinghe and the Nutritionist Squadron Leader TSM Thilakarathna, contributed as resource persons, sharing their expertise during the session.
