A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Corporal Beligala USDSB (Deceased) today (11 May 2025) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Ulapane, Gampola. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Acting Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Indika Wickramasinghe and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Pidurutalagala, Group Captain Nalin Wewakumbura.

The event was attended by the Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Pidurutalagala, President Seva Vanitha of SLAF Station Pidurutalagala, Mrs. Harsha Kumuduni Perera, Secretary Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Station Pidurutalagala.
