In commemoration of Victory Day, Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) paid a visit to Ranaviru Sevana in Ragama today (19 May 2025). The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, participated in the visit, joining the official delegation in honouring the nation’s differently-abled war veterans.

The Deputy Minister was accompanied by the Commanders of the Air Force and Navy during the visit, which aimed to recognize the sacrifices made by members of the tri-services who were critically injured during Sri Lanka’s prolonged armed conflict.

The visit included an observation of the medical, rehabilitation and support services provided at the facility.
