MM Mulafar scored five goals for the Air Force enabling them to have a comprehensive 5-1 victory against the Army SC, during the Defence services hockey finals held on 12th September 2009 at Nandrimithra Ekanayake international Hockey ground, Matale. Earlier in the tournament the Airmen went on to beat the Navy SC as 3 nil and the Army SC as 2-1, in order to be qualified for the finals.
